Most of you remember the previous dog that we raised to be a guide dog, McIntosh.  Well, I have an interesting story.

About five years ago, I met a woman who has been visually impaired since birth at the Big Shanty Festival.  She and her husband foster children, teach Sunday School, and he does woodworking for craft shows and festivals.  Every year, I would stop and talk to her about getting a guide dog.  At the same time, one of my friends who uses a guide dog attends church with her in Austell and also talked to her about getting a guide dog.  This past year, she put her name on the waiting list for a guide dog.  She was called at the beginning of March and told that they had a wonderful dog waiting on her.  My daughters went down to FL to the guide dog school last weekend to meet her and see Mac work for her.  They took lots of pictures.  We are SO proud of her!
Thanks,
Ellen
