OUR TOWN

Newnan was first settled in 1828 as an agricultural community. The population is now over 16,000. Coweta County is home to over 89,000 residents. The area has experienced an explosion of both residential and commercial growth in the past few years.

Newnan has long been known as the "City of Homes"

A number of homes from the antebellum period survived the Civil War and remain as visible reminders of the era. Several areas in Newnan and Coweta County have been listed as historic districts on the National Register of Historic Places

The city and county enjoy a moderate climate. Annual rainfall averages 52.95 inches. The average temperature was 46.03 Fahrenheit from December through February and 76.1 degrees from June through August
